Independent Living Centre (ILC)

The Independent Living Centre is a service of Yooralla that provides information, advice and trial of independence equipment to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities or age related difficulties. It is staffed by Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. There are two ILC equipment displays with one in the east (Blackburn) and one in the west (Brooklyn) of Melbourne.

National Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics

The National Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics is committed to providing individuals with high quality, expert care. The NCPO aims to maximise the functional capability for each client by tailoring treatment towards the individual's goals. It is recognised that liaison with referring health professionals is important and NCPO clinicians welcome discussion in the establishment of client needs.

Prosthetics & Orthotics at St. Vincent's Hosptial Melbourne

Prosthetics and Orthotics provides services to in-patients and out-patients from acute and rehabilitation care centres at St. Vincent's Hospital, as well as Polio Services Victoria clients.

Technical Aid for the Disabled Victoria (TADVIC)

TADVIC is an organisation whose volunteer members design, construct or modify equipment for people with disabilities. This service is provided where no commercially available solution will meet their needs.

Victorian Aids & Equipment Program (VAEP)

The Victorian Aids and Equipment Program (A&EP) aims to assist eligible people to access subsidised aids, equipment and home modifications to enhance their safety and independence, support their family and carers and prevent premature admission to institutional care or high cost services. The A&EP is funded by the Department of Human Services and is available from a range of service providers across the state.
