The Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission was established in 1986 by an act of the Federal Parliament.
Our goal is to foster greater understanding and protection of human rights in Australia and to address the human rights concerns of a broad range of individuals and groups.
We are an independent statutory organisation and report to the federal Parliament through the Attorney-General.

National Industry Association for Disability Services (ACROD)
ACROD is the National Industry Association for Disability Services. ACROD's membership includes over 550 non-government, non-profit organisations, which collectively operate several thousand services for Australians with all types of disabilities, including intellectual, physical, psychiatric and sensory. ACROD's members are located in every State and Territory in Australia and range in size from very small support groups to very large service providers.

Physical Disability Council of Victoria
PDCV is the Communications Link Between People with a Physical Disability and Decision Makers in Government the Community and the Business World.
Our Mission is to promote advocacy and to promote equality of opportunity for people with physical disabilities by having a Victorian peak advocacy group of people with physical disabilities and organisations across the entire physical; disability sector, to identify and take action on Victorian issues and to refer national issues to the Physical Disability Council of Australia.

Women with Disabilities
Women's Health Victoria is an independent Victorian statewide women's health promotion organisation run by women for women. We work to identify and respond to the health issues of the women of Victoria through a feminist perspective and a social model of health.
